Learn how to make your own natural soap!
At this hands-on workshop, local beekeeper Karen McKenna (“Hi Honey” on Facebook) will instruct participants on how to make soap using the cold process. When you use this process, your soap will take a couple of months to cure, so please be prepared to wait to enjoy your creation. Each participant will leave with a rectangular bar of soap in a mold that they can take home while they wait for it to cure (choice of fragrances or plain), a list of suppliers for the raw materials and instructions on how to make fresh batches at home.
The workshop will be taking place from 7:00 to 8:30 on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Foodshare, 120 Industry St Toronto. There is lots of free parking. TTC access is via the 71B bus from Runnymede Sunway Station or the 171 Mount Dennis bus. The bus stops are a short walk from the Foodshare building.
For your added enjoyment, we will be tasting a variety of honeys.
Register early as space is limited. If the workshop fills before we get your registration and we have sufficient interest, we will run a second workshop in April. To register, please send your name and contact information to Nancy Bardecki at email@example.com AND send $30 to firstname.lastname@example.org via paypal. Your registration is not complete until we have received payment.
